1. TCL Class 5-Series 4K UHD QLED Smart Roku TV (Best Overall Smart TV for Ease of Use)

The TCL 4K QLED Smart Roku TV is our top pick when it comes to Smart TVs for ease of use.

The number one reason for its top spot is the foolproof Roku OS which is extremely user friendly. Roku is without a doubt the best OS when it comes to Smart TVs. The Interface is clean, there is no clutter on the screen and navigation between the apps is pretty smooth. Moreover, TVs with Roku OS are known for their vast range of streaming options.

Apart from the usual Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, Hulu and other streaming apps, hundreds of other similar services and some special channels which can take your streaming experience to a whole new level. The motion on this TV is acceptable which means that the gaming experience is great. The TV has a 60Hz Refresh rate along with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) which is a huge plus for all the gamers out there. Moreover, the TV has an automatic game mode. Whenever a game console like the Xbox is plugged in, the TV automatically shifts to game mode for an optimal experience.

Finally, TCL 5 Series has a remarkably low Input lag (around 11ms in Game Mode) which is another reason why I consider it as the Best Smart TV for Ease of use.

Next up, we have another Roku TV, the Hisense H4 Series Smart TV! If you are looking for an easy-to-use Smart TV, the Hisense H4 is a great budget option!

First things first, since this is a budget Smart TV, we don’t expect it to beat its expensive competitors. That being said, the Hisense H4 is a decent Smart TV for its price. 3. Sony 4K Ultra HD X80K Series LED Smart Google TV

Next up, we have a Google TV that is quite impressive in all areas. The Sony 4K X80K Google TV is a highly user-friendly TV that offers all the necessary Smart features! If you are a Google TV fan, then for you, this is certainly the Best Smart TV for Ease of Use.

Since it’s a Google TV, the interface is very clean. It is arguably the best interface after Roku. The navigation between apps is smooth and overall, the Smart TV is quite easy to use.

One of my favorite things about Google TVs is the availability of Play Store, using which you can download and add more apps to your Smart TV. You can readily add apps to your Sony X80K Smart TV and diversify your experience.

The Smart TV has all the necessary streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max etc. Apart from that, it has built-in Google Assistant which means you can simply speak into the remote and perform actions on this TV. Moreover, you can take this a step further and connect it to your existing Alexa device. This is particularly helpful for smart homes which have the Alexa ecosystem!

Let’s now talk about my favorite section, the Picture quality of the Sony X80K Smart TV. The TV offers an UltraHD 4K display with a 60 Hz refresh rate. The TV has pretty decent contrast and brightness levels, however when I tested its motion smoothness, it wasn’t up to the mark. I believe the 60Hz panel must be the reason for that.

The TV offers rich colors which enhance the overall viewing experience. Another major plus is that the Sony X80K is a Bluetooth enabled TV, which means you can easily hook it up with your Bluetooth headphones or AirPods.

As far as gaming is concerned, I won’t say that it is the best TV for gaming, but in fact it provides a reasonable gaming experience. The TV has a 60 Hz panel with no VRR availability; however, the input lag is 11.2 ms, which is remarkable for gaming!

4. TCL Class 6-Series 4K QLED HDR Smart Google TV

Since we already discussed the user-friendliness of Google TVs, I believe it would be unfair not to include the TCL 6 Series Google TV in this list!

If you already own a TCL TV, you would be familiar with how simple these TVs are to use. Moreover, the price bracket is quite reasonable, which gives it a plus over others!

The TCL 6 Series is a 4K TV with a QLED display. This isn’t like the ordinary LED displays as QLED provides better contrasts and blackness levels. The local dimming is outstanding, especially for a TV at this price. I particularly liked the blackness levels of this Smart TV. Moreover, unlike the Sony X80K TV, the TCL 6 series has excellent motion smoothness! The TV is fantastic when it comes to the overall Picture quality.

Now let’s talk about the Smart features of this TV. Apart from the built-in Chromecast and Google Assistant that Google TVs offer, this Smart TV offers hands-free voice control which is a major plus if you are looking for the Best Smart TV for ease of use. You can speak and the TV will listen to your commands. In my view, this is the ultimate level of user-friendliness a TV could offer!

Finally, let’s talk about the Gaming capabilities of the TCL 6 Series. The TV has a 120 Hz refresh rate with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) which makes it a great choice for gaming! You won’t feel any limitation with games that require a higher refresh rate and the TV can provide smooth motion especially in the Auto Game Mode.

Hand-free voice control makes it stand out among its competitors. I believe if you are looking for the utmost level of ease while performing commands, this TV is the best one for you!

5. LG C2 Series 48-Inch Class OLED evo Smart TV

The LG C2 series is a premium smart TV that has arguably the sharpest picture in the market. The LG C2 comes with LG’S WebOS, which might not be as good as Roku, but does a reasonable job at user-friendliness and ease of use. Moreover, the TV has bult-in speakers which means it offers hands-free voice control. This adds to the overall usability of the LG C2 TV.

The LG TV C2 has UltraHD display at 120Hz Refresh Rate. The off angle viewing of the TV is superb. The best thing about it is the OLED display. OLEDs are better in a lot of areas as compared to QLEDs or LEDs. They deliver brighter picture with lesser blue light which is why they are safer for your eyes.

The TV has a powerful Gen 5 AI Processor which does an excellent job at content upscaling. This is especially useful when playing HD or SD content, as the TV can efficiently upscale the content to 4K resolution.

Gaming is like a dream come true on this Smart TV. If you are a gamer, and you’ll be extensively using your TV for gaming, I recommend you buy this TV as it offers reasonable ease of use along with outstanding gaming capabilities.

The only down side of this TV is the high price. Again, I would recommend you not to go overboard. If you are looking for the easiest Smart TV to use, Roku TVs fulfil this job (As discussed above). The LG C2 is a premium TV and should only be bought if you have the budget for it!

The Final Verdict

Considering all the Smart TVs that we have explored, I can easily say that the TCL 5 Series 4K Roku TV is certainly the Best Smart TV for Ease of Use. It is our top pick due to a lot of factors including the highly user-friendly Roku OS, availability of Voice control, stunning picture quality, a reasonable price and low input lag.

If you however are a fan of Google TVs, I can say that Google TVs are also a great option if you are looking for a ease to use TV. You can go for the TCL 6 Series or the Sony X80K in that case.

As far as the LG C2 is concerned, the WebOS although is quite user-friendly, but it has no match when it comes to Roku or Google TVs. Still, if you are a fan of LG TVs, it’s a suitable option for you. I hope you make the right choice.

How to choose Best Smart TV for Ease of Use – Buying Guide

Best Smart TV for Ease of Use - Buying Guide

Operating System (OS)/User Interface (UI)

When assessing any TV’s ease of use, the Operating System plays a huge role, as it determines the User Interface. Therefore, it’s better to go for a Smart TV with a simple OS, like the Roku OS.

An OS that offers easy navigation between the apps should be preferred over others.

Voice control

If you are looking for a TV that offers great ease of use, ideally it should offer voice control in some way.

Some Smart TVs come with a voice remote, while others offer voice control through smartphone apps or integration with Smart Home Assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant etc.

You should prefer a Smart TV that offers voice control in any of the above-mentioned ways.

Picture Quality

Let’s get this straight, we aren’t just looking for the best smart TV for ease of use, we are looking for a complete package! After considering the ease of use, you must check the Picture quality of the Smart TV that you are going to purchase.

Factors like display resolution, colors, brightness and contrast must be taken into account.

Input Lag/Ease of Navigation

Input lag refers to the time between when a button is pressed and when the TV actually performs the action.

We prefer TVs with low input lags, so that there is no delay and the overall user experience is great.

How We Chose?

While picking the Best Smart TVs for Ease of Use, we considered all the above-mentioned factors. We put great emphasis on the User Interface as it is a major defining factor when deciding how easy or difficult a TV is to use.

However, we did not neglect other factors like the Picture quality, Input lag and the Price of these TVs.
